EOI is more than a think tank. Our research explores real issues that affect people's daily lives, and we turn knowledge into action through effective organizing and outreach to create solutions to the problems facing today's working families.
We pursue our work through media outreach, public dialogue, and policy initiatives that address economic security concerns shared by middle-class and low-income workers. Our leadership on these issues has garnered national attention and influence.
Today, EOI is recognized as the leading progressive public policy institute working on economic security issues in the Northwest. We are supported by a wide range of funders - primarily donations from private individuals, grants from private foundations, and a small amount of union support. We do not not solicit or accept public funds.
EOI
is a member of Economic
Analysis and Research Network (EARN), a network of
55 state and
regional multi-issue research, policy, and advocacy
organizations in 40 states. EARN is coordinated by the
Economic Policy Institute (EPI) and works with a broad range
of other national organizations.
No staff positions are available at this time.
