    Taxes are intended to fund investment in public goods with the goal of improving our standard of living. The first graphic suggests that regions with adequate funding can make social investments that promote growth.

    The second graphic is interesting, but I wonder how 7% of Massachusetts residents can be millionaires. I suspect a decimal point problem.

    Also, I would expect millionaires to live where growth is strongest.
