For over 15 years, EOI has fought for an economy that works – for everyone. In 2014, we saw our signature Pay It Forward higher education legislation introduced in 25 states, passed a statewide paid sick leave bill in the State House of Representatives for the first time and launched a new women’s economic security agenda.

Highlights include:

  • Keynote address by Kathleen Kennedy Townsend: The eldest child of Robert and Ethel Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend has been a lifelong advocate for women, children and the underserved. As the first female Lt. Governor of Maryland, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend’s career has focused on creating public and private partnerships to solve some of the most intractable problems facing America today.
  • Fantastic speakers: Our Emcee is MomsRising.org’s Executive Director/CEO Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, and Natasha West-Baker will share her story as our Community Activist Speaker!
  • Social hour with games and hosted bar – PLUS great raffle prizes: Enjoy nautical and Northwest-themed games and other activities that illustrate how the right policy choices can build a rising tide that lifts all boats. Raffle prizes include Seahawks tickets, Pacific NW Ballet VIP passes, and SIFF memberships!

NEW this year: All food and drink will be served buffet style from 5:30 – 6:30 pm so you have plenty of time to socialize and enjoy playing EOI’s legendary games. Our program, featuring Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, will begin at 6:30 pm.

Directions and Parking

From Interstate 5:
Take Exit 162 (Corson Avenue/Michigan Street).
Turn right on Michigan Street.
Turn right at the next traffic light, Sixth Avenue South.
Seattle Design Center is located one-half mile on the left side of the street.

From Bellevue/Eastside:
Take Interstate 90 to Interstate 5 and head south.
From Interstate 5 south, take Exit 162 (Corson Avenue/Michigan Street).
Turn right on Michigan Street.
Turn right at the next traffic light, Sixth Avenue South.
Seattle Design Center is located one-half mile on the left side of the street.

Parking:
Do not park in the Design Center garage, since it will close after 5pm. Free parking is available in the Atrium parking lot on Sixth Avenue, right outside the Design Center doors, and on surrounding streets.
