News Highlight | Learning for Life: King 5 News special report

January 21, 2010 | Alex Stone

King 5’s recent reporting on early education in Washington State includes interviews with businesses leaders and elected officials who have stated their strong support for early education programs.

Studies prove early education programs with a high-quality curriculum and teacher training better prepare young children for the classroom — resulting in a more educated workforce and stronger state economy. More on that here.

I selected 5 short episodes from King 5’s ‘Learning for Life’ special report. They include a mix of interviews, study results and policy analysis that I found most helpful in understanding the benefits (and current challenges) of bringing a high-quality early learning system to Washington State.
