Building an Economy that Works for Everyone

Three reasons your GiveBIG pledge matters

UPDATE 5/3/16: Trouble donating to EOI during GiveBIG? You’re not alone. The Seattle Foundation tells us they’re having technical problems. Don’t let that stop you — you can GiveBIG to EOI via our website!

Though it means we won’t receive the Seattle Foundation’s partial match, your gift will be doubled (up to $15,000) thanks to a match from two EOI board members. Most importantly, your donation will still be dedicated to our daily efforts to build an economy that puts workers and their families first.

We can also take your gift over the phone. Sam, our Development Manager, can be reached via email or 206-529-6375. Thank you for your support today and all year round!

EOI is dedicated to building an economy that works for everyone — but we can’t do it alone. Will you help? There’s a great opportunity coming up.

GiveBIG, the Seattle Foundation’s one-day online fundraising event for non-profits, is Tuesday, May 3rd, and it’s a great time to give. Here’s why:

1. Your gift will help fund the movement for justice. We’re organizing our way toward a more equitable tax system, paid family leave and paid sick days for every worker, equal pay for all women, and access to higher education. Together, we can make an impact.

2. Giving to EOI via GiveBIG maximizes your gift. Every dollar donated up to $15,000 will be doubled, thanks to generous matches from EOI Board Members Matt Loschen and Dawn Trudeau. EOI will also receive a portion of the Seattle Foundation’s “stretch pool”, a pro-rated matching fund. The more you give, the more EOI receives.

3. You can win BIG too! All GiveBIG donors to EOI will be entered to win a pair of tickets to Seattle’s very own women’s pro basketball team, the Seattle Storm!

With your help, we can build a fair economy for all. Please give, and be a part of a force for change in 2016. Thank you for fighting side-by-side with us to make Washington a fair place to live, work, and raise a family!
