Ever wonder how Initiative 1098 would affect you? Now there’s an easy way to find out. We’ve developed an easy-to-use Initiative 1098 Calculator to determine how – if at all – your taxes will change if voters pass I-1098 this November.
To use it, you just need to know your yearly adjusted gross income. If you own property, you’ll also want to know your total yearly property taxes. And if you own a business, have your total Business & Occupation taxes for the year handy.
The calculator will return a simple, easy-to-read itemized list of anticipated changes to your taxes under Initiative 1098. Click here to get started.
Wondering how we get the numbers? Here’s how we calculate the impact of Initiative 1098’s proposed reforms, including: a tax on high incomes, reductions in the state property tax, and the elimination or reduction of state business taxes.
