No. The district used Title I in the past for an extended day program but tightening funding necessitated an end of the program.

Teachers have been very vocal about their wishes for full-day kindergarten but the district would need funding and double the amount of space.

Pre-Kindergarten

 

 

Program Description

 

The district is involved with 3 new programs. The district does not staff any of the programs but works in partnership with other entities. 1) One component of the Even Start program is an academic preschool which will enroll approx. 15 children. The district is contributing space at no charge. Entire program serves children birth - 7 years old. 2) District is working in partnership on a preschool class with the Educational Service District (ESD) Family Resource Center. The district provided the furnishings. 3) Partnership between the district, ESD, and the SW Medical Center provides preschool, as well as infant/toddler and sick care. Program will serve 30-60 students. District purchased some furnishings.
