Yes. One reason the district has kept half-day kindergarten is that some parents prefer it but this year there has been greater demand.

Program Description

 

District offers integrated model of special education preschool on a half-day 4 days/week schedule. Slots for typically developing children are to offer peer models and mainstreaming of special education students.

No because special education children are the primary goal of the program. There is a waiting list.

There is a child care shortage in the community and the district believes that the preschool waiting list is because parents see the preschool as a child care alternative.
