Other Comments
Full-day program was begun in response to long-standing parent demand. Prior
to 2001-02, district did not have facilities to provide program. Both
half-day and full-day programs are designed to provide developmentally
appropriate learning experiences for kindergarten age children. Children who
successfully complete either the half-day or the full-day program will be
ready to enter first grade. The full-day option is intended to accommodate
those families who may already be placing their kindergarten child in a
full-day experience by combining the public school half-day program with
privately available extended day experiences or private full-day programs.
