In today's economy, the deck is stacked against the middle class - so it doesn't matter how hard you work.
Good jobs that pay enough to support a family are shuffled offshore. Special interest tax breaks multiply while class sizes grow and college tuition climbs out of reach. Wall Street plays with no limits, but underwater homeowners can't get a bailout.
EOI is dedicated to changing the rules to ensure the middle class gets a straight shuffle, not a crooked deal. We combine good ideas with bold action to create real progress toward educational opportunity and economic security for all.
We spearheaded the campaign for paid sick days in Seattle and paid family leave in Washington State. We're working to strengthen Social Security and protect Washington's best-in-the-nation minimum wage. We're telling the story of today's economy in new ways. And we're fighting for fair, progressive taxes so our state can invest in the infrastructure and education we need to protect and improve everyone's quality of life.
Please join us to celebrate and support 13 years of public policy leadership dedicated to protecting and restoring the promise of the middle class.
