Wage Ladder Postcards

The Washington State Early Childhood Education Career and Wage Ladder is a successful public-private partnership between the state and child care centers. It gives child care teachers small wage increases for getting more education, increasing responsibility, and staying in the field.

The research is clear: Washington’s Early Childhood Education Career and Wage Ladder is a small program with big results. But technical research doesn’t tell the whole story.

So child care teachers and parents from across the state have taken time to write about what the Ladder to them, their families, and their children.

Read for yourself what they have to say:

As a full time working mom, my two children are in daycare. I need to feel assured that my boys are in the best possible care… This means that the teachers need to continue to receive training to stay on top of the latest trends in education.

The Wage Ladder program is awesome at encouraging teachers to continue their education, thus directly impacting the young children in their care.

I have been at From Roots To Wings for nearly seven years! The Career and Wage Ladder has motivated me to complete my degree in early childhood education, so i can have jobs stability and help provide quality care for the children we serve!
