Big raise in cigarette taxes good public health policy

Smoking or non? That refrain may be standard in every restaurant in the state, and the people shivering in the doorways of office buildings as they grab a smoke appear to be dwindling. But it only took a trip to my local drugstore to come face to face with the $100 million a year spent on tobacco advertising in our state and what that really means.
