Puget Sound pays price for BP’s spending in Olympia

I have noticed a lot of sympathy here in Washington about the Gulf Coast oil disaster, but, in reality, there is not a lot we can do. What we can do is make sure we're prepared to prevent a similar disaster in Puget Sound and, in the meantime, clean up Puget Sound. But raising the resources to begin a meaningful cleanup process will be difficult, especially with members of our state legislature so cozy with oil companies like BP.
