Tuition freeze is a good first step, but legislators should make college truly affordable

Choices like this mean our legislators will have to keep raising tuition over and over again. They will have given themselves — and us — no choice. Next year, let’s hope they begin thinking about how to fund higher education, not high finance. They can do better, and we can do better, for our children and the generations to come.
