As of April 15, 2015 the Economic Opportunity Institute (EOI) adopts a minimum wage at EOI of $15 an hour. This wage floor covers all employees, including all interns.
We believe that non-profit organizations (including foundations) with any number of employees are equally responsible – along with for-profit corporations, private contractors, and federal, state and local governments – for providing fair and appropriate compensation, for which the minimum wage is essential for establishing a wage floor.
We urge other organizations to embed this $15 minimum wage standard into their employment practices.
