Seattle Teachers Speak Out: Myths and Realities in Public School Education

Interested in learning more about the present (and future) state of K-12 public education in the U.S. — and Seattle in particular?

This Thursday 1/27/11, the Seattle University Coalition for Educational Equality is co-sponsoring a panel discussion with several Seattle Public School teachers titled “Myths and Realities in American Public School Education Today – Seattle Public School Teachers Speak Out”.

The teachers will discuss issues pertinent to the present and future of public education in American schools, from funding problems, private foundations and charter schools, to curriculum and Seattle’s local superintendent.

The event will take place from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Student Center building, Room 160 (Leroux Room). Click thumbnail to view Seattle U. campus map, or click here to learn more.
